Open Championship Series Partners with AAU Cheerleading

The Open Championship Series is excited to announce a partnership with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is an amateur multi-sports organization dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs. It has more than 700,000 members nationwide, including more than 150,000 volunteers. The AAU is a multi-sport organization, which includes cheerleading.
 
The Open Championship Series’ partnership with the AAU offers cheerleading programs participating in the AAU model, parents, and athletes the following incentives and additional opportunities:
 

  • AAU cheerleading events are now Qualifiers for the Open Championship Series
  • AAU Teams will be included in Open Championship National Rankings – tune in every Thursday at 8:30PM Eastern Time to see where your team ranks against other AAU teams across the nation
  • AAU Divisions will now be offered at select Open Championships end-of-year events!
  • Cheerleading Teams Participating in AAU National Events will receive credits up to $75 off their registration fees towards select Open Championship Series end-of-year events.

 
The partnership between the Open Championship Series and the Amateur Athletic Union will provide additional opportunities for cheerleaders to compete in safe and cost-effective environments.
